Brand Strategy/Visual Language
SSE Airtricity is a leading energy supply and service company, supplying over 460,000 electricity customers and almost 310,000 gas customers across the island of Ireland. Cleaner, greener energy is in SSE Airtricity’s DNA. As far back as the 1990s, Airtricity was pioneering commercial renewable energy and was Ireland’s first offshore wind energy development in Arklow Bank, Wicklow.
My brief: was to refresh the entire digital and print comms look and feel which lacked visual impact as a result of working off outdated guidelines. In order for me to create the refresh, I conducted a brand audit of the entire guides and communications over 10 years. This was then presented into key stakeholders and what I intended to propose visually for the brand. The strategy was to inject the communications with much needed energy, which was previously lacking. I achieved this by accentuating the brand mark and creating an impactful visual language device that served as a holding device and striking visual element across digital and print. This was taken directly from the curve of the SSE brand mark to create more brand awareness.
