A Wonderful Forest Immersion

I was approached recently to design a brand identity for Walk of Leaf which is a forest immersion walk and life coaching in nature business led by the lovely Rosalinde Schut. Forest immersion walks are an amazing way to connect with nature, soak up all the energy of the forest and leave all the stresses of life behind. I really wanted to capture the idea of growth and development within the identity and designed a unique icon consisting of a water droplet growing into a twig and bearing leaves. Part of the forest immersion walks are sitting beside a river and really immersing yourself in the sounds and flow of water in the forest, so the icon had to represent this also. The Walk of Leaf icon is made up of parts similar to Japanese characters, 土 - tsuchi, for ‘earth’, 木 - ki, for ‘tree’ and 上 - ue, for ‘above’. Rosalinde invited me to take part in one of the forest immersion walks and I must say it was a truly invigorating experience, I left feeling calm and revived and I would highly recommend it to anyone who just needs to take a break from their busy lives and reconnect with the splendour of nature.

“In setting up my own business, I wanted to have a logo that reflected what my business does as well as what it stands for. Anne-Marie came highly recommended and it was easy to see why. It was a joy to work with her. Anne-Marie asked relevant questions in order to understand my business better. She replied quickly and helpfully to any question that I had. Moreover, she designed a beautiful logo that ticked all the boxes and more. I am very grateful to Anne-Marie for her quality work.”
