3kids for 3e Channel

3kids is a children's programme airing on 3e TV channel everyday from 7-10am. The work created below was for Virgin Media Television (formerly TV3).

My brief: was to create a brand identity that would resonate with childhood audiences between the ages of 4-10 and be playful and engaging. The ‘3’ of the ‘3e’ identity had to appear in the 3kids brand mark which I tried not to constrict me too much creatively. I was inspired by children's play-doh for the 3kids identity design which gives the typography an almost mouldable and child-like feel. I felt this playful design of the characters in the identity would resonate with children as they play with play-doh at school and home. This was brought to life in the programme titles where the characters of the logotype rolled in like play-doh to mould into the brand mark. The visual language of the pale blue sky and clouds complemented the colour tones of the brand identity –these clouds animated in the programme titles. The brand mark was supported by playful doodle illustrations which added fun to the over all design.
